Tech Specs
Cast fate with the fundamental uncertainty of the universe. Instead of a predictable computer algorithm, the Quantum Entropy Engine measures the unpredictable collapse of an electric field caused by electrons tunneling through a silicon barrier for truly random die rolls.
Select Your Die (1dX): Single rotary knob lets you choose from D3, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D100.
Select Your Die Numbers (XdN): Secondary rotary knob lets you select how many die you want to roll. The numbers for each roll will be pulled from the entropy pull and summed and displayed on the nixie tubes.
Material:
- Mahogany
Key Features:
-
True Quantum Randomness: Powered by a custom cryptographic circuit, harvesting entropy from microscopic quantum fluctuations. Check out our blog posts for the math & downloadable data-sets!
-
Vintage Nixie Display: Authentic, cold-war era IN-14 glow discharge tubes from the 1980s.
-
Auditory Haptics: Simulates the satisfying click and whir of a Geiger counter during the roll.
-
USB-C Rechargeable: Modern power management with 25+ hour battery life (2x rechargeable 18650 lithium ion batteries included).
Crafted for Game Night
The QED includes 2x 18650 batteries for your long gaming sessions.
The QED's optimized power management keeps you rolling through marathon gaming sessions, all-night campaigns, and convention weekends on a single charge. The efficient ESP32 controller and smart power circuits ensure the nixie tubes illuminate your rolls without draining the battery, so the only thing you need to worry about is whether you'll finally land that critical hit.
USB-C rechargeable - and the QED can be continued to be used while plugged in if required.
Multipe Die-Types at Your Fingertips
Why carry a full dice bag when the universe can roll any die you need?
Select from D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D16, D20, or D100 with simple button presses, and watch your quantum-generated result illuminate on the nixie display.
Every standard tabletop gaming die is available instantly, backed by true quantum randomness.
Verified True Randomness
This isn't pseudo-random number generation from an algorithm, the quantum entropy engine captures quantum entropy harvested from electron tunneling through a silicon barrier.

Battery Life
25-30+ hours on a single charge due to some power saving optimizations that happen at the firmware level. The entropy engine draws a mere 500mW while idle, and less when it goes to sleep.
